About

Kelli Thompson is an award-winning photographer who specializes in fine art photography and photojournalism. She travels extensively, including visits to South Africa, Czech Republic, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Scotland, and the Galapagos Islands. She has been a team photographer for the USA teams competing at international steel fighting competitions including Battle of the Nations and International Medieval Combat Federation.

Kelli's photographs have been published in numerous magazines, periodicals, and on websites. Her work has appeared on the NBC Nightly News and Today Show.

Kelli's work has been juried into the 2021 Wild and Scenic Film Festival art show and the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Art Speaks Juried Exhibition. She had a one woman art show at the North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural Center and was featured there at the Women's Art Show.

Among her awards are the following:

• Art Speaks Juried Exhibition, 2024: RAL Art Center Award

Previously Kelli worked in film and television as a publicist and production coordinator. Her film resume includes Alien, The Black Stallion, Coal Miner's Daughter, Flash Gordon, Rock 'n' Roll High School, Escape From New York, Hard Rain, and Buffalo Soldiers.

She currently resides in Mathews County, Virginia.
